When I first began blogging, I wrote everyday, heck I wrote several times per day. My family and friends who lived far away, loved it. They had a way to constantly keep up-to-date with my life and my kids.
Then, I got a job working for 2 very busy blogging ladies....and also got hooked on Facebook and before I knew it, my blogging had pretty much stopped.
I miss it. I am fairly certain that everyday, I think about blogging, but then I think about all of the stuff that has been going on lately that I haven't shared on here.....like work events, conferences, family stories...and I just get so overwhelmed....I want to catch everyone up, but that would just take too long.
So then I take the procrastinator approach and decide to write another day.
Well my poor mom and dad. They aren't on Facebook and they do long to have new posts on my blog...as do I.
So tonight, I came across a solution...a fun post on my good friend's blog that I decided would be a PERFECT way for me to start yapping away to all of you again daily...on this lovely blog.
So my friend stole the idea from my other friend, Sara, who stole the idea from Nerd Girl who stole it from another gal who had stolen it from someone else...so yeah...we are just a bunch of thieves, but cute thieves, right?
Basically this little exercise will have me blogging everyday annnnnd even gives me a daily topic.....so there is no stressing about all of the stuff that I need to catch you all up on, because it doesn't matter. HA!
My first entry, which is coming up here just a little lower, so that I can make this post as long as humanly possible, follows the list of topics, which are…
Are you ready? I AM!
So first of all, if you read this blog at all, you most likely know me and love me already, I hope.
I am a dreamer, an optimist who likes to look for the good in people and is sometimes too trusting.
I am a mom, who usually feels like she is never a good enough mommy.
I am someone who is pretty self-aware and always quick to notice my faults and work hard at improving myself.
I am shy around people I don't know well...and sometimes waaaaay too open with those I do know. My friends probably sometimes hear and see more than they would ever want to.
I am happy and upbeat. I love to smile and laugh.
While I am laid-back and sometimes way too much of a homebody, I do love to be social. I need my friends....they are what keeps me going. I love them!
I am a hard worker, but I love to play just as hard. :D
I am empathetic and truly enjoy making others around me happy.
I am a giving soul who has a heart for children in Northern Uganda. I would love to go out there on a mission trip someday.
I am a struggling Christian who feels like a failure in that department most of the time as well. But, I do love Jesus with all of my being.
I am just little ol' me....and you know what? I love who I am! :D
